dTower
Access control system with swing gates and unique design, for small spaces requiring high-accuracy access control.
A line of gates especially designed for access control solutions deployed in locations with limited space. The dTower provides the comfort and security of swing gates to achieve the highest level of flexibility within a confined space.
Maximum Flexibility in Minimum Space
The dTower combines robust construction with a deliberately small footprint, making it the solution for projects constrained by space or budget. Using the comfort and safety of swing-gate pivoting doors, it delivers full access control from a column just 225mm wide.
A motorized brushless mechanism opens the doors only once a user is identified and authorized. Two pairs of infrared sensors at waist height detect passage, confirm the crossing, and prevent the doors from closing on a user still inside the lane. Operating and orientation pictograms in high-brightness RGB signal the outcome in both directions.
Built in stainless steel or epoxy-powder-coated carbon steel with 10mm doors, dTower is rated beyond 8,000,000 cycles between failures and needs preventive maintenance only every six months.
Engineered for Performance
Advanced sensors and processing for seamless access.
Waist-Height IR Detection
Two pairs of infrared sensors sit at waist height inside the passage, detecting the crossing, confirming passage direction, and preventing unauthorized entry. A safe mode keeps the doors from closing on any user still within the equipment's internal field.
Small Footprint by Design
A 225mm column and a 400 by 160mm floor footprint let dTower fit where a conventional speed gate cannot. The Par 500 configuration splits the lane across two 250mm doors, opening faster and occupying less space when open.
RGB Pictogram Guidance
Operating pictograms on the top cover and orientation pictograms on the front give clear two-way guidance in high-brightness RGB — green flowing in the direction of travel for an authorized passage, red for a denial — backed by a configurable beep.
Configurable Control
Door movement speed, passage time control, and safety mode are all customizable, and the doors move bidirectionally. Inputs for external opening and closing sensors let dTower integrate with access controllers already on the market.
Multi-Credential Support
A proximity reader installs on the column edges, with a 2D barcode reader available as an option. Dry-contact inputs and outputs plus an RS-232 interface give broad compatibility with access control boards on the market. An optional card collection safebox is available.
Signature Industrial Design
Designed alongside the dGate and dFlow lines by Alexander Neumeister — the German designer behind projects for Siemens, Hitachi, and Thyssen Henschel — bringing the same design language to a compact footprint.
