dSlim
Retail Self-Checkout • QR Receipt Validation • Slim Footprint
Meet the dSlim. Digicon’s access control system that combines design, technology, and security. This mechanical turnstile enables various applications for retail and services, offering multiple customization options.
Built for the Self-Checkout Lane
dSlim is a motorized access gate built into a single slim column — 154mm wide and just over a metre tall — with a clip-style arm that swings clear of the passage. Two columns form one lane, so a bank of self-checkout exits can be laid out without surrendering floor space to full cabinets.
It was designed for retail. Integrated with Digicon’s MCA network and a QR code reader, dSlim validates the shopper’s receipt at the exit, checks it against an anti-passback list so the same receipt cannot be reused, and logs every release and denial — holding up to 60,000 records locally and continuing to work offline if the store network drops.
Engineered for Performance
Advanced sensors and processing for seamless access.
QR Receipt Validation
Integrated with Digicon’s MCA network, dSlim reads the QR code on a self-checkout receipt and parses all 44 digits against Sefaz standards. It checks an anti-passback list to confirm the receipt has not already been used, then releases or denies the shopper — logging both outcomes.
Configurable Passage Control
Door movement speed, passage time control, and safety mode are all configurable, and the arm moves bidirectionally. Inputs for external door open and close control let dSlim integrate with access controllers already on the market. Available with or without passage sensing.
Clear Pictogram Feedback
Pictograms on the top cover signal the outcome of every attempt — green for an authorized passage, red for a denial — backed by a configurable audible beep. Passage sensors confirm the crossing and protect the user while the arm is in motion.
Retail-Ready Construction
A reinforced carbon steel structure with electrophoretic treatment and epoxy powder coating stands up to a retail floor, anchored through a floor-fixing plate. A multipoint security key locks the column, and shock protection is built in. Top covers come in acrylic, glass, or painted steel.
Multi-Credential Support
Accepts MiFare proximity cards, facial recognition, and QR or 2D barcode. The reader mounts in the top cover, and the model can be configured with different reader types to suit the site.
Minimal Footprint
At 154mm wide and 1040mm tall, the dSlim column occupies a fraction of the floor space a conventional turnstile cabinet demands — designed for checkout lanes, convenience stores, gyms, and residential lobbies where every square metre is already spoken for.
Scan, Walk Through, Done
Present a receipt or credential and the arm swings clear.

- Green pictogram and audible confirmation on release; red on denial
- Every release and denial is logged — 60,000 records held locally
- Keeps working if the store network goes down, with no host integration required
- Bidirectional operation with configurable door speed and passage timing
- 920mm two-arm configuration accommodates wheelchair access
